It is a pseudocereal rather than a true cereal, or grain, as it is not a member of the true grass family. Quinoa is a complete protein containing all essential amino acids. It is good source of manganese, magnesium, iron, copper and phosphorus. Being easy to digest it is wheat, dairy, gluten and cholesterol free so suits people on restricted diets.

The star ingredient in Punku products is Royal Quinoa, a variety of quinoa that only comes from a specific region in Bolivia and it is becoming more popular as a healthy eating choice.

Bolivia is the only country able to produce Royal Quinoa, which is superior to other varieties cultivated in any other country in the world. It is superior in terms of nutritional content, size, uniformity, cleanliness and saponines elimination because our grain grows in fields located between two major salt lakes, making the soil richer in minerals and, lying at an average altitude of 4.000 metres above the sea level, the surrounding air is clean.
